A complete outdoor calisthenics facility for CityWise Education

Cali Training Rigs worked alongside main contractor Cleary Doyle to deliver a multi-station outdoor training facility at CityWise Education in Dublin 24.

01 · Design and planning

Turning the brief into a workable layout

The equipment arrangement and technical drawings were reviewed against the available footprint. This established the proposed training stations, foundation positions and clear working areas before site works began.

02 · Delivery and groundworks

Preparing the site

Equipment was delivered to site and the foundation locations were excavated in accordance with the agreed layout. Accurate setting-out at this stage was essential to maintain station spacing and alignment.

03 · Setting-out and positioning

Building the structure accurately

The posts were positioned and temporarily supported while levels, spacing and orientation were checked. The overhead ladder and adjoining stations were then assembled around the primary post layout.

04 · Assembly and installation

Completing the training stations

Horizontal bars, the overhead ladder and individual exercise components were fitted after the main posts had been aligned. Protective wrapping remained in place during the construction phase to safeguard the finished surfaces.

05 · Foundations and finish

From construction site to finished facility

The equipment was secured in concrete foundations before the surrounding area was completed with wet-pour safety surfacing. The blue and yellow finish creates a strong, highly visible training area within the education campus.

Inspection and handover

Independently inspected after installation

A RoSPA post-installation inspection assessed the facility against EN 16630:2015 and recorded that the new calisthenics facility had been installed to a good standard.
